Doch "Akte-X" ist mehr als ein Kultobjekt für Fans. Auf beispiellose Weise scheint die Reihe den Nerv ihrer Zeit getroffen zu haben und verkörpert somit selbst ein Stück Zeitgeschichte.
Agenten ohne Furcht und Tadel ... Die FBI-Beamten Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) und Dr. Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), forensische Wissenschaftlerin und Pathologin, arbeiten innerhalb der Behörde für eine Sonderabteilung, die sich mit ungeklärten und mysteriösen Fällen, den so genannten X-Akten, befasst. Agent Mulder lies sich aus persönlichen Gründen von der Abteilung für Kapitalverbrechen dorthin versetzen. Er ist davon überzeugt, dass seine Schwester Samantha im Jahr 1973, dem Jahr des Watergate Skandals, von Außerirdischen entführt wurde. Das Ereignis hat die Familie zerrüttet und symbolisiert zugleich den Vertrauensverlust in die Obrigkeit, denn in Mulders Erinnerung ist die Entführung seiner Schwester eng mit Watergate verknüpft. Die Gerichtsmedizinerin Scully wurde Mulder als "Aufpasserin" zugeteilt. Sie sucht stets nach rationalen Erklärung, während Mulder, durch die Familientragödie vorbelastet, überall Paranormales wittert.
Nun sind Scully und Mulder sind wieder da! Die beiden müssen erneut einen mysteriösen, ungelösten Fall des FBI aufklären, bei dem die komplizierte Beziehung zwischen den beiden sehr unterschiedlichen Agenten eine unerwartete Wendung nimmt. Le scrivo a riguardo dell'intervista girata dal suo gruppo MeetUp di Genova. Tale filmato dovrebbe farle ben comprendere la posizione di noi vittime della Diaz. Mi farebbe molto piacere se lei, se fosse possibile, si servisse della sua esperienza e del suo punto di vista di comico per illustrare al cittadino italiano medio cosa successe veramente nella Diaz quella notte. Le saremmo inoltre grati se spiegasse al suo pubblico quanto importanti siano i processi Diaz e Bolzaneto e cosa potranno significare quei verdetti per l'italia.
Come lei probabilmente saprà, noi chiediamo un'inchiesta parlamentare per fare chiarezza sul ruolo della politica nei fatti della Diaz e di Bolzaneto, e vorremmo assicurarci che vengano riformate le forze dell'ordine italiane e che il loro personale venga correttamente addestrato al rispetto dei diritti umani.
